Spent the holidays making up a coffee table for my daughter. The weave pattern on the end was from the 1013, the rest was pretty much Kreg, router, mitre saw.

Rick, nice looking coffee table you have made. My wife has also requested a lift top table sometime as well, the mechanism's are a bit pricey but I will get around to it.

Found some spring assisted ones on ebay for $24 free shipping. Took 5-6 days to get here but they were higher quality than I expected. Internally I had like 16" side to side in the box, these ended up being 15.75"....just a fluke they fit because I wasn't paying attention. They don't come with instructions, or mounting screws, but I mounted them with just a little bit showing above the side rail when closed, then used double sided tape on top the hinge and placed the table top exactly how I wanted it to sit. That allowed the hinges to stay attached by slowing raising the top, then I could get underneath and screw it down. The lift top tables do shift the center of gravity of the table when they are up, I told my daughter that she should be storing some heavy stuff inside if she wanted to use it for dining at the couch.
Note: my bad, the hinges were actually about $23 and did not have free shipping.

Not carver work, but my latest work from the lathe: Walnut and Oak with crushed turquoise inlays....sort of a "bowtie" pattern on the inside bottom. On Etsy***** Welcome back Greg !

Good to hear from you again Greg, wondered what happened to you ..... been a couple years hasn't it? In the meantime Bob got promoted to "God", and he continues to churn out the greatest items. The people on the BB have put forth some interesting projects done on their machines, I continue to learn a lot. Shame they obsoleted the machine though, parts are getting pricey.
Bob, I finally made it up to that lumberyard/mill I had mentioned. Got an incredible piece of Cherry - 2" thick, 2' x 1' for only $10. But they have all types of woods and sizes, I felt like i was in heaven. I'm taking the cherry and making a "ring box" for my daughters wedding, did some minor carving on the top (heart, arrow, initials) and will post a picture when it's done....which may be a while yet since I managed to really scratch the base plate on my planer and it's carving grooves into the wood - new replacement on order.

How well do the last supper ones sell for you? I did that once and it came out great, but did it on too small a piece and used some exotic wood that I got as part of my retirement party. Came out a little dark for me. Are most of these in maple?

The Last Supper plaques do reasonably well, I believe I have sold about 6 of this current version and maybe around 15 of the small ones like the image that came on the CD. I added the room behind the table and the ripply looking table cloth to the original grayscale, which makes those larger in size.
All of the plaques shown here are actually cherry with the exception of the one with the bears, the love with the hummingbird is the color the cherry is with clear lacquer finish on it.
The weather here has been an absolute P.I.T.A. with all of the rain and humidity, none of my pieces are going to dry enough to pack them up for the show. Add to that the prediction for some severe weather Sat afternoon and overnight into sunday it looks like this event will be a bust.
