I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread where everyone could show and view others projects / accomplishments with your I-Carver

I do keep a photo file of all that I get done, with the exception of those destined for fire wood

Dang it man!! I bet I have sold around 30 but only have pics of maybe 2 to show what I have done crap! I will make them from now own thats for sure. I like the bowl cuts and glad to know this machine will do that too, did you cut out the outer circles with a band saw or something?

I cut the outer circles with my scroll saw and then use a drum sander in the drill press to get the circle nice and even. There is in GIMP, gmic under arrays and frames one titled vignette which give you that dished bowl look.

Those look really great. I've not delved into doing any photos yet but think I'm about to give it a shot. Really like that pyramid with the eye, although I have not sold mine yet.

I used to use the scroll saw to do a lot of fretwork images, they just take so much time to make that I understand the word "fretwork", so I mostly use it for intricate cuts on things these days.

I really want to be able to make an electric guitar but this machine is not long enough to do the "fretboard" have plans for one I think its a 53 Gibson. Photo's are tricky you need a high contrast picture and the cut needs to be .080-.110 you kind of get a feel for the depth setting for each pic as your doing it but .100 will work for most unless you have a shadow on the face that makes the face look chopped up so you have to go down on your settting.

Cool that you got it done on both sides. I've been wondering about the idea of breaking an image into pieces so that longer projects, such as your guitar neck could be done but so far I've only mulled over the idea.
