I purchased the anti-dust assembly for my Intellicarve 1013, and it did not come with any instructions. There are no details about this accessory in the manuals either. Is there a set of installation instructions for this accessory?

I'm having a two pass problem where the router does not go back to zero on the 2nd pass every time.

Hi Greg. We've been emailing back and forth about this problem. I am still checking with the engineer to find a solution. In the meantime, can I ask why you are doing it in two passes as the machine is capable of doing 0.25" in one pass.

Yes I know I do most cuts in one pass because it takes too long for a two pass cut plus it ruins your board 50% of the time.
I am getting ready to cut some dremel mounts for a home built cnc when I get the code ready and it will need to cut all the way through.
Also I have talked to a few folks and they have the same trouble with two pass cuts so I thought I would work on this bug in what little free time I get.

Ok I have an update on this problem. I just realized I have been using photoVcarve and cut2d software from Vectric for a couple of months now and have never had a second pass problem using that software.
With cut2d I have made several 4 pass cuts without loosing position at all. Hope this helps. Greg

I have a line running across the midpoint of every cut. It's been there since day one. The edges on the left side of the line don't quite match up. I contacted Oliver Tech support, sent photos and .gee code. Anyone else have this problem? The line is noticeable but nothing that can't be repaired. I think it is from the way I-Picture processes images. Thank You

Is there a set of installation instructions for this accessory? Shouldn't it just attach to the screw holes on either side of the carver? I'm considering the same and good to know instructions are bad.

Single pass. Today I ran a piece at normal depth,.118, and fast speed. There was no line. I had been using slow and.250. I'm not sure if it was depth, speed or a combination. I'll experiment and see if I can pinpoint the cause.

Greg Well that was informative, I made two jobs of the same pic set at .100" using a .025" cut in two different programs, PhotVcarve and I-picture. The photoVcarve software made the machine cut all the levels in a single pass meaning the Z was altered in a way that it cut all the depth cuts while it was there going up and down a lot! Next I made the cut with I-picture using 4 passes and every time the machine went back to zero it was off by 1/8" (my pic was small 3x5) it appears the misalignment is off more and more as the size of the picture is increased. Each time the I-picture cut moved back to start I was there to watch and the machine said it went back to zero but it clearly did not.

Hi Greg,
In what axis was it off by 1/8"? X or Y?

Hi Greg, In what axis was it off by 1/8"? X or Y? Dan Y only plus it continues meaning on the next cuts its off another 1/8" so you get a stair step on one edge. I was searching the manual looking for any alignment details but no. One other cut I did was a dremel mount for a cnc machine I built myself and it made 4 passes to cut all the way through with no alignment trouble, I used Cut2D for the g code on that one.

I checked the gee code and it brings the machine back to 0 plus the machine says its at zero when it moves back for another cut . It's making me think its off in the setup in the Y axis somewhere maybe in the measurement of the relationship of the motor/track setup of the Y axis.
