Copied from here forum.artcam.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=17904&p=68409"I hope that you're well. After further investigation, if you copy the iCarver_mm.con and iCarver_inch.con files from the C:\Program Files\ArtCAM 2011\postp folder and paste them to the C:\Program Files\ArtCAM 2011\Exec\Wizards\postp folder, then restart MillWizard, you should be able to select the relevant iCarver post when exporting your toolpaths from MillWizard."

Then only the metric post processor you posted is useful? Is there a difference between the Artcam version and the Vectric? Does that mean the Icarver 13 will only read metric as well? Same machine they claim, and the 15 comes with Artcam Express.

Right only the metric post will work. I don't have Artcam. It should mean the same for both machines since they are identical except who ordered the machine and the name on it but you can test the inch post if it doesn't work it will only cut a 1/4" square and goto home as if its done. I have no idea if the 15 reads inch or not maybe someone can test it and see.
When I first made an NC file and ran it I got the small square so I searched the code to find out what was wrong but nothing seemed to be wrong, after comparing Gee code with NC code I realized the machine was reading in metric and it saw 1 inch as 1mm so I went and found the metric post and tried it and that fixed the code. I assumed that post processor files vary from software to software. Like drivers for two different webcams. Then again, if they are supplied by the manufacturer they could be the same file.

Greg Then just convert to metric when creating a file. Use something like this, well do it in your head if so inclined, www.metric-conversions.org/length/inches-to-millimeters.htmthen punch in the converted numbers. Why did you choose the hard way and try to adjust the code? Better yet, why did Vectric include both files when only works? Clearly from their own forums others have the same issue.

I wasn't trying to convert the code I was comparing the two to find out why it wasn't cutting correctly then I noticed my Gee code was in metric even though all my settings are in inches. Thats when I realized I-picture was making metric code even though it was set to english and my NC post code needed to be in metric to work.

Gullyfoyle, can you send me the post processor for artcam for oliver machine 1015 please? I don't think you will have a result here since that member has not been on here in over 2 years. It would seem that Oliver or Art Cam would have the post processor

From what has been explained to me is you have to actually upgrade the Art Cam to gain the new post processor since the 2011 version is basically not supported any longer. The cost to upgrade the software is $99 I believe.
