Hello,
I just started in a new shop (Construction Teacher). I have a 40-915 in my shop and no software to run it. I have tried to download on the net but every link seems to be a F#^$ING wild goose chase and I get nothing but the same pages over and over.
Can anyone tell me a legit place to download the software?
I'd like to learn the machine and get it operational for my classes.
Rob

Rob Try looking up Iconic cnc on the web and fill out their contact form, they should be able to help you out. Their cnc machiine also uses I-Picture software.

There are 2 version of Ipicture the 15 does not use the same one as the 13 although you can use any gcode from any software as long as you install the post files I uploaded here. Your machine will read NC files I use vectric cut2d and photovcarve programs almost exclusively although I have done nothing in a while.

I have an Oliver 40-915 and it is an odd machine. I have talked to Jeremy Stevenson and there were only a couple hundred of these machines manufactured. The reason, they did not use standard gcode and the only post processor that was created was for VCarve Pro. The VCarve Pro post processor generates an nc file then you have to run it through iPicture or the converter from Geetech to generate a gee file that the michine will understand. A couple of things, iPiture 1.1 must be used to do the conversion of the nc file or to generate a picture gee file, version 1.2 will not work with this machine. Also, the converter must be version 1.1, later versions do not work. If you open a gee file in a text editor and it looks like gcode then it is wrong, the gee file for the 40-915 is a hex file.
I have all the files needed to get it up and running with VCarve Pro including the post processor and the conversion programs, iPicture & the Geetech converter so let me know if I can send them over to you.
Since the machine is mechanically very solid I am considering replacing the controller with a more functional one that would be compatible with more software.

When I asked for the software, the seller said,"Oh. You can just download it." So far, I can't find a legit download site. I have been looking for v1.2 but I see here that I need v1.1. Any help? Thanks in advance

has anyone found this ipic software? I have the usb but when i plug it in, it just says driver unavailable. is this because the software is so old and the newer computers dont recognize it? will i have to change the controller board to get this thing to work again?
