I have carved five of the eight trays that I am giving as Christmas gifts. Yesterday I noticed that on my last bit order, I ordered the wrong number. I'm not sure that my last bit is going to last for the last three trays. Guys, what bit do you like best for general all around carvings? My all around favorite is #46282 (1/32) from ToolsToday. That being said, lately due to price, I been getting some from SYTool.net, which has been taking two to three weeks to get. What do you use and from whom? Thanks, FatPoppy

If it's any help, I got an email from IconicCNC.com a few minutes ago that may be interesting. They are offering the 1/32 standard bit that came with the machines originally and have been supplied for Iconic, General, and Oliver versions for years. It's a "buy three, get one free" sale and USD $69 each. Since it's free shipping, that works out to about $52 each. Their delivery from Canada to me on some components for the 1013 was about a week, and I've found them to be wonderful to work with. For the 1/50 bits, there is a post on here somewhere that you can get them real cheap - and if you buy them three at a time it's free shipping. I bought them the last time and they work great. Here's the link: www.amazon.com/0-5mm-Tungsten-Carbide-Tapered-Coated/dp/B015C61XX4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1460811443&sr=8-3&keywords=sytools

I second that on the link to Amazon bits, those equate to the 1/50 th inch or r0.5mm bit. I have been using those for some time now, and I belong to Amazon Prime so it's free shipping no matter what quantity. Being that Madison, IN does not have much to offer for general merchandise shopping, what I save annually more than makes up the cost of the Prime membership fee.

Thanks Rick, I too have used the SYTool ones and had pretty good luck. I think the one I used was .75. They had to come from China.

Thanks Bob, I also have Prime and have always thought it was worth while. Last week Alabama started having to pay 8% tax on Amazon....but that OK. I'm carving the "Trees Tray" right now. Been running for ten hours and is at 96%.
