Having used ipicture for a couple of years, one of the things that I've always hated in the preview picture was that it centered on the piece, and when you scroll in to get a closer look you lose the ability to easily see the outer edges. Maybe everyone else is aware of this "trick", but I just learned it by watching a video....
If you want to move the piece around on your preview picture to look better at different parts:
Hold down both the A and B buttons on your mouse, then pull the picture around to where you want it. Then you can scroll in or whatever to better see what you're interested in.
Like I said, maybe I'm the only one who didn't know this but it would have been helpful to have that knowledge before.

Good tip for everyone that did not know this, the program could have had a more in depth explanation of features. Strange to go to Olivers web site and see the big "discontinued " banner across both models, for all of it's quirks along the way the 1013 has been a good machine for me.

I'm with you there, I'll keep playing with the 1013 till it dies and then decide what the future holds. Interesting that Amazon still lists "3 in inventory" shipping from Oliver. Iconic doesn't have anything comparable to the 1013, and their forum is basically empty.

Damon(guest) Before you throw it in the water to anchor a boat, I would be interested in the machine(s) for parts.

Remember too that the 1013 is a low cost machine designed many years ago, where the Iconic machine is a recent redesign that took what they learned from the 1013 and 1015 "experiment" and improved it. The Iconic machine is being designed and produced by the same company in Taiwan that made your 1013, at least this is my impression of what I've heard. There will be a new "1013" coming out in the middle of next year, which also promises to be a huge improvement over the 1013 - again they learned how to improve it from feedback. This next one will have both raster and vector motion, along with upgraded electronics and I'm taking for granted a better spindle motor since that is the main problem I hear about.
This comes from someone who has replaced spindle motors and now two motherboards on my 1013, and I probably don't run it 14 hours per week. I agree with Bob, there is some value in your parts if you are truly done with it.
I will state that my first interaction with Iconic on my latest motherboard problem was handled with incredible customer service by Iconic, they responded to an email within hours on a SUNDAY, and shipped me a new board the following day.
