What is the best- easiest way to cut text in the ipicture software? I tried using a saved jpeg file & converting but it is not working out. Anyone have any ideas or is there someone who has files they could share or sell that has the proper GEE format?
Thanks in advance,
Bill

Thanks in advance, Bill You will need some kind of photo editing program, some use photoshop and myself I use GIMP which is a free program. If you try to carve letters without altering them you will end up with chip out or fuzzy edges. In a photo edit program you can alter the text by adding some blur to it which has the effect of giving the edges a rounded effect. I attached an example where the top row of text is just plain unaltered and the bottom row has had a blur effect added to it, you can see the the edges are rounded somewhat, instead of sharp like the top row. You will only be able click on and open the image if you are signed in on the forum.

Save your image as a jpg or png those are both recognized by Gimp.

I always convert my imagery to PNG format before I ever do any work on them, and then save as same. JPEG or JPG files tend to have little white lines around objects in the image, and more so after you alter them. I-Picture software recognizes BMP, JPG, PNG . When you are done with your image work in GIMP don't simply save the file, as GIMP will save it as an XCF file by default. You will need to choose to export the file to where ever you save your image work for I-Picture. I have created folders within my downloads file to save mine in, this keeps them separate from photos and documents.

When exporting your file after you choose a destination for export a dialog box will appear, I always un-check all boxes except for the save resolution box. For the image files for I=Picture there is no need to have any extra information attached to the file you are exporting / saving. I do not know that it affects the image conversion or not to save all the other info with it, but it certainly is not needed info.
