All, I set a piece to cut on my 1015 machine and the attached was the result. Can someone tell me what did I do wrong and how I can prevent this from happening? Thanks in advance for your response. Walter

The most obvious thing I can see from your pic is that you were cutting along the wood grain which gives you those shavings, they probably were wrapping around the bit as well. You should be cutting across the wood grain, either rotate your board or the your artwork.

Another question would be to the type of wood that you were using, is that cedar? And at what depth is each pass? Some of those shavings look pretty wide but there is no good reference point.
