Hi.
I keep getting electrical error 21, and I think its the USB Port on the machine. What to do?
Will warrenty be broken if at take of the back cover? (A label says so)
By the way, the machine is only 4 days old, and have cutted 5 times.

I had that problem and it turn out to be dirt under the table on one of the 2 switches, remove the table and clean and check that both switches click when you press them. I hope this helps

Did not help... As soon as i make more than 2mm Deep cut it makes the error and needs to be restarted. (The machine states it can make 6mm in one pass). And now also a Electrical error 13... and my power supply is ground-connected.

You need to be sure that no other electrical devices are running , or plugged in for that matter, at the same time on the circuit you are using the carver on.

When I first received my machine, right out of the box it would not run for more than a few seconds then throw code 21. As per Oliver I unplugged machine and removed the screws that retain the LCD screen, which is referred to as the HMI (human interface).., opened it up and unplugged and re-plugged the plastic connecters to insure they were making good contact.

I have my machine on it's very own circuit, if anything else comes on, in the circuit you are using it will most definitely cause an electrical issue. The machine is extremely sensitive to even a minor current flux.

I notice the same thing about my 1013, so i run it by itself, until I get it on it's own circuit.

I have had a shop vac running while doing a cut and have the machine fault then restart the same file and have no errors with no vac running so I have a big soft shop brush made to wipe metal shaving from a lathe and thats what I use to see the work.
No more problems since starting the brush setup.

The 1013 is one temperamental machine, Has to run on it's circuit, or with nothing else running, you got to keep the clean (which is a good idea anyway), but even under the table with some frequency, blowing it out under the table is OK, but dirt gets around the switches as I found out so remove the table and clean. It doesn't like to make to many passes (i found 2 to be the max for me), and every once in awhile you need to tighten up the table. I enjoy my 1013 for what it's worth and for the money it is what it is, if I had 10 grand to spend on a CNC it wouldn't be an Oliver anything (those folks aren't the greatest at wanting to helping), but this forum has some very talented folks that do help and that's why can run my machine every week, and make some really fun stuff.
greg i read what you wrote on comic books, i never thought about doing that. I think I will make a few puzzles. thanks

To tell you the truth the manual says to check the board connections behind the display for error 21 so I took the cover off mine way back when I first got the machine and unplugged each wire and made sure they were plugged in good and have never gotten the error since I did that.

I use a brush to clear of my piece that is carving as well, lets me check how things are looking. I save all the vacuuming until it is done and the machine is unplugged.

I am having the same issue with error 21. The error is now occurring at power up. Right after Check USB, at the screen where you would select file, the arrow for select file doesn't show up, it hangs there for 10 seconds the errors out. Every time. I'll keep an eye out here to see if you have any suggestions. I'll post any solution that I find as well.

I believe you may be correct on the USB issue. While I was doing a test run just now, I slightly touched the USB dive. So little, that I didn't even see it move, the machine immediately froze ad gave the ERROR 21. My worry is that with just the axis movement, it could shake it enough to cause the issue.
