Are you referencing the I-picture flash drive or one for art cam?

Bob, i am new at cnc, but i think i made the mistake of using the flash drive i was supplied by Oliver with my 1013 as the transfer drive between computer and cnc. so when i switch to a new flash driver everything worked fine. do you use a separate flash to transfer?

I still have and use the original flash drive but I have several others that are used as well. I put in a different one, format it and then I put the original in another usb port and transfer the files from it onto the formatted one.

I also clean up the new one by deleting some or all of the supplied images, the tutorial video, 1013 manual etc. I only leave I-Picture and images file. If you choose to delete the supplied images file, there is on on my original drive which is labeled as : SBSE___.QPF that one I have not deleted because it is a different type file than the images, don't know if it makes a difference but don't want to find out.

Glad to help in any way, we were all there once as well, but had to stumble our way thru it ( was no forum at that time)

Yes I have ran into a couple that wont work with the machine but there is nothing wrong with the drive. I use a 19 gig sandisk and just make a folder to put the gee files in on that drive to hide them. I don't really save those gee code files since I don't keep a record of each cut any more now I go back to the original file . Most code files were setup for whatever wood I was going to use at the time and may not be what I have to work with this time so I start over.

You should be able to use the flash that came with the machine to transfer files over. I have used it myself with no problems but believe it or not, I did hear from the factory that the supplied blue color USB flash drives were giving trouble and they suggested using a different one for transferring files.

gee code or nc code that runs the machine, it's too confusing for me to go back and use a gee code file I made 6 months ago so I go to the original project file to make another.
