I recently bought a new computer so I could run Art cam express and cant find the software to reinstall I-picture. I also deleted everything off the blue flash drive by mistake that came with it. Why I don't know. Do I need I-picture installed in order to run my 1013? Was the info that was on the blue flash drive needed or could I use any flash drive? Thanks for reading!

I believe you do need I-Picture for your machine, as the file generated by artcam has to be run thru I-Picture. Should be able to get a download from oliver.

Additionally you would need to edit the post processor to slow down the Y axis if you are going to use art cam or any other program to generate the files for a 1013, this is because the Y axis is gear driven on the 1013.

They still have not responded to my e-mails. Guess I will have to call them on the phone.

Just for the record, I have never gotten a response from them via email which is a sad statement. So yes I would call them and remember they are on pacific time which in my case would be 4 hrs difference.

He was referencing machines sold by General Cnc of Canada which for all intents and purposes is the same machine as the Oliver, their comparable model # is the 40-913 like Oliver 1013, and the 40-915 like the Oliver 1015. Now I am not 100% sure that all their software is compatable, but they are the same machine different paint job different model #'s and all made by the same company in Taiwan.
Both Oliver and General CNC are simply distributors of these machines
Update: I did look into both I-Picture programs and in examining some of the files within the version I have from Oliver and the General CNC version there are some minor differences, now not being a programmer or software writer and can't tell you if the differences would be a problem or not.

s146.photobucket.com/user/gregs_photo/profile/For the record you don't need I-picture, you can run the NC file produced by other programs, the only difference is you wont get a run time at the end of the cut unless you run it through picture.

If you are going into the ipicture folder and trying to use the ipicture.exe file, that is possibly your problem. The folder right above that one is labelled: ipicture. Use that one to open the program.

Nothing works. No matter what folder I open up it will just keep opening up sub folders. The software is installed and shows that I-picture is installed in my programs menu. When I click on I-picture zipped or unzipped it always wants to open the I-picture install. Ever since I got this new computer with windows 8 I have a hard time with everything it seems. I clicked on everything possible and it just wants to keep downloading. Cant open the whole program. I want to smash this computer with a dam sledge hammer.

"Very helpful customer service. Now if they would only answer there e-mails."
Good luck there, the best way to get info is to call them. I, to date have never received a response to an email.
You might try to right click on ipicture to arrive at properties and then check to see if "run as administrator" is checked, it is on my pc which is windows 8 as well. When I go to use ipicture it always comes up on the screen asking if I will allow ipicture to make changes to the hard drive, I click yes and the program opens and runs .
On my pc in the downloads file where I downloaded ipicture there are 2 files. 1 is a zipped file folder and the other is " ipicture set up application".....this is the one that will install the program, not the zipped folder.
