It's worth noting that these machines need a clean power source to operate correctly, any circuit that is being used for items other than the carver at the same time is an invitation for problems due fluctuations of the power. For myself when I wired my shop I made 1 dedicated circuit out of the breaker box for exclusive use of the carver. Before I did that there were strange things that would happen to the carve which had no real reason that I could pin down, none of those have happened on the dedicated circuit.
